redShift
is made up of undergraduate students from Columbia and Barnard with a genuine interest in astronomy and who want to engage with other astronomy students, the department here at Columbia and the community at large. We welcome undergrads that are majoring in Astronomy/Astrophysics, other science disciplines, or people who simply have an interest in the subject.

THE 3rd TRI-STATE ASTRONOMY MEETING @ CUNY
October 28, 2011 at the CUNY GRADUATE CENTER, 365 Fifth Ave. New York, NY
This one-day conference aims to bring together this community to build relationships between neighboring institutions and make faculty and students aware of the expertise that can be found in our community. The conference will consist of six review talks on various areas of astronomy and a quick-fire session of one-slide/one-minute poster summaries.
